Terms of Service

By accessing or using World Guesser (playworldguesser.comand any associated subdomains, collectively the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance

By using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. The introduction above sets out the same agreement in plain language.

2. Eligibility

  • You may use the Service as a guest without creating an account at any age.
  • To create an account, you must be at least 13 years old.If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your country, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
  • Users under 13 must play as guests or use the Service under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or teacher.

3. Accounts

  • Creating an account is optional and free. You may sign in with Google or email.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You may delete your account at any time by emailing us.

4. Code of Conduct

World Guesser is enjoyed by players of all ages. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Cheating: Using scripts, bots, extensions, automation tools, or exploiting bugs to gain an unfair advantage.
  • Abusive behavior: Harassment, bullying, hateful speech, threats, or toxic conduct toward other players.
  • Inappropriate content: Offensive, vulgar, obscene, or discriminatory usernames or profile content.
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be a moderator, administrator, or another player.
  • Solicitation: Asking for personal information from other players, especially minors.

Violation of these rules may result in warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination at our sole discretion.

5. Prohibited Uses of the Service

Without our prior written permission, you may not:

  • Embed, iframe, or integrate World Guesser into another website or application.
  • Use World Guesser to generate ad revenue on a third-party platform (e.g., streaming the game with overlay ads) without attribution.
  • Misrepresent World Guesser as your own product or service.
  • Use the Service in a way that competes commercially with World Guesser.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the game.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Service.

6. User Content

By submitting content (usernames, map creations, chat messages, etc.), you grant World Guesser a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the Service. You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for its legality.

We reserve the right to remove or refuse any user content at our discretion.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The World Guesser name, logo, game code, and design are owned by World Guesser.
  • Street View imagery is provided by Google under its terms of service.
  • Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use World Guesser's trademarks or branding.

8. Copyright & DMCA

If you believe content on World Guesser infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA notice to:

Your notice must include:

  • (a) identification of the copyrighted work,
  • (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material with a specific URL,
  • (c) your contact information,
  • (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized,
  • (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act, and
  • (f) your physical or electronic signature.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, World Guesser WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless World Guesser from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your user content.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
